The annual fall semester banquet to celebrate the end of the year
with performances, food, and dance.
The student organization needed a program that followed a storyline for two emcees to host the show.
PLANNING
Goal: Create a programming storyline that relates to the theme, "Soiree."​
The Decorations Committee created a Pinterest board capturing the ambience of the venue:
Great Gatsby, Classy and High Class.

We needed to plan for three videos in the program, guiding the live emcee hosting.

1. Introducing the Banquet: We focused on setting the theme, tone, and mood of the banquet.

2. Dinner: This video would inform the audience of dinner allergies.
​
3. Closing: This would resolve the conflict of the plot, while introducing the last performance to close the night.
Strategy

We decided on taking a contemporary, sarcastic take where the two emcees get sent into a silent film.
(Also made sound editing easier for me :P)
Dinner
We wanted to break the fourth wall to talk directly to our audience about the organization's
care and attention to different allergens and food restrictions.
Closing
The video needed to be long enough to accommodate the stage setup for the
live band performance by Trash Cat at the end of the night.
We came up with ways for the two emcees to have their own humorous moments,
and give credit to all the individuals who participated in creating these videos!
